Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
At Golden Cuts Grooming INC, we understand that pet grooming is an important part of your dog’s overall health and well-being. Here are some common questions we receive to help you better understand our services and how we care for your furry friends.
The frequency of grooming depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and individual needs. Generally, we recommend grooming every 4-6 weeks to maintain a healthy coat, prevent matting, and keep your dog looking fresh. Dogs with longer or thicker coats may require more frequent grooming.
Our full grooming package includes a relaxing bath, thorough brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and a customized haircut based on your dog’s breed or your style preference. We also offer additional services like teeth brushing, deshedding treatments, and more.
Yes! Our certified groomers are experienced with all breeds, sizes, and coat types. We tailor our grooming services to meet the specific needs of each dog, ensuring a personalized and comfortable experience.
We understand that some dogs may feel anxious or uncomfortable during grooming. Our team is trained to handle dogs with care and patience, using gentle techniques to help them feel calm and secure. In cases where a dog is aggressive, we may recommend using additional safety measures like a muzzle for the well-being of both the pet and our groomers.
Nail trimming involves cutting the nails to a proper length, while nail grinding uses a specialized tool to smooth and round the edges of the nails. Grinding provides a polished finish and is ideal for dogs with thick nails or those that need an extra-smooth trim.
Yes, we offer flea shampoo and treatment services to eliminate fleas and ticks. Our pet-safe products are effective in removing these pests while being gentle on your dog’s skin and coat.
While we encourage pet owners to trust our professional groomers with the grooming process, we understand that some pets may feel more comfortable with their owners nearby. We have an open-concept salon where you can observe the grooming process, though we generally ask owners to remain in the waiting area to ensure a calm environment.
Please ensure that your dog is up-to-date on their rabies vaccination and bring proof of vaccination to the appointment. Other than that, all you need to bring is your furry friend—we’ll take care of the rest!
If your dog’s coat is severely matted, we carefully and gently work to remove the mats without causing discomfort. In some cases, if the matting is too extensive, we may recommend a shave-down to start fresh. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always our top priority.
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
